In the field, one light.

_D7X7561
Meant to post this sooner. This is one of my favorite shots of my older daughter, Madelyn. This was shot with a one light setup, with the sun setting behind her. Taken at Floyd Bennett Field, in Brooklyn. The mosquitos were swarming us bigtime, luckily for Maddie, the little buggers prefer my blood.

Great Shot! Did you use one of the portable power packs available on alien bees website?

Oops, just realized you were using an SB-800. I thought it was an Alien Bee's light. Excellent shot none the less!

Thanks James!

I used the SU-800 Commander unit. I had issues with it at first, not completely realizing how terrible the unit is when used outdoors, due to line of sight.

I do have alienbees cybersync triggers for bigger strobes. The nikon speedlights are very portable, which is why I choose to use it even when dealing with bigger paid shoots.
